Technical manuals

Installation instructions

If your company manufactures a product (anything from a software package to an item of self-assembly furniture) it makes sense to supply clear, unambiguous, illustrated instructions on how to install or construct it. Without these, there is a risk that the user will struggle to end up with a working product and will thus form a poor impression of your business.

User guides

If your company delivers even moderately complex products or services, these should be accompanied by clear instructions on how to operate them, and a trouble-shooting guide for when things don’t go as expected. Otherwise it is inevitable that any problems the users encounter will result in a phone call to your help desk or even require a follow-up site visit. As well as inconveniencing your customers, responding to their service calls is time-consuming for you (and therefore expensive).

Process documents

As your business grows and you take on new staff, it will be necessary to make them aware of what they should be doing, and how they should be doing it. The most effective way to do this is to have up-to-date, well-documented procedures and processes. In the absence of these, you can’t be sure that a new employee has a thorough understanding of the way the company operates.

All of these issues can be addressed by concise, well-written manuals and - whether they are installation notes, user guides or procedural documents - we can create them for you in the format most suited to their use. For example:
